Josie von Mojave is as gentle a dog as anyone could find. Her story is sad, she belonged to a woman who collected dogs, at one time she had hundreds of dogs on her property. We have a news article with pictures of the property; Josie’s picture is chronicled in the article. Cindy Bemis was charged with animal cruelty and was sentenced to prison. Rescue groups came from all over to help take the dogs; we wanted to do our share. We took three of the dogs. The dogs all love other dogs but because of the lack of attention they got, they are uncomfortable around people at first. Francie, one of the girls, actually the most terrified one went to a foster home, she has blossomed and is a happy girl, loves sprawling out in her dog bed in the house next to her family. We need help with Josie now. She needs a home or a foster home with another dog. All we have for her is a kennel, she does fine surrounded by other dogs but that is no life for her. She needs people who will give her time and space to heal. It won’t take her long we have a feeling. Some of the volunteers will sit with her and just let her relax; pretty soon, she is giving little kisses on the back of your neck. Josie is such a gentle creature, she deserves a break in life, will you be the best thing that ever happened to her?
